P-57
- P-57 is used to lower phosphorus levels in the blood of patients with chronic kidney disease.
- The phosphate level in the blood of patients whose kidneys do not work properly cannot be controlled. Thus, the amount of phosphate in the blood increases (hyperphosphatemia).
- P-57 is a drug that reduces the absorption of phosphorus from food by binding with phosphorus in the digestive tract. Phosphate bound to P-57 cannot be absorbed through the intestinal wall.
P-57 does not affect the calcium level in the blood as it does not contain calcium.

Recommended Dosage (Cat)
Unless recommended otherwise by the Veterinarian, it is used twice a day on an empty stomach, 1 gram for every 5 kg of body weight.
